This morning a special meeting of the Board of Education was held. At this meeting, the Board approved a separation agreement with Mr. John Fisgus. which includes his resignation as Superintendent effective immediately. As districts evolve, differences sometimes emerge 
regarding priorities for how best to advance a school"s mission. This is what occurred between the Board and the Superintendent. To be clear. Mr. Fisgus did not engage in any wrongdoing. After considerable reflection and amicable discussions, both parties have agreed to a mutual separation. The Board would like to thank Mr. Fisgus for his service to the District and his commitment to our students. We wish him all the best as we both move forward. 

At the same meeting, the Board also appointed Robert Banzer as the Interim Superintendent of Schools. Mr. Banzer had previously been appointed as Acting Superintendent of Schools.
