Announcements & News

  • We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled at Oakfield Alabama CSD will be able to receive a FREE breakfast and lunch meal at school beginning on November 1st, 2023.

This implementation is a result of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expanding access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows eligible schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge to all students.

What does this mean for your child(ren) attending the school(s) identified above? Effective November 1st, 2023, all students enrolled at Oakfield Alabama Elementary School and Oakfield Alabama Middle High School will receive meals at no cost to your household. No further action is required of you.

If you have any further questions, please contact Mary Della Penna, Food Service Director, at 585-948-5211 ext. 4234.

  • Oakfield Alabama CSD is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).  All children in the school will receive meals/milk at no charge, regardless of household income or completion of this form.

We ask the families to complete a Household Income Eligibility Form to determine eligibility for other state and national benefits programs available to schools and individuals.

Filling out this form makes it possible for us to secure additional grant funding for your child’s school and the Oakfield-Alabama Central School District. Such funding has been used to add low and no-cost programs such as the Backpack Program and Upward Bound.  Income-eligible families who complete the form may also qualify for a variety of fee waivers, including Advanced Placement tests, SAT exams, college admissions, college coursework, instrument rental, internet services, and Amazon Prime.

Read the instructions on the back, complete only one form for your household, sign your name, and return it to the school named above.  Call 585-948-5211 ex4234 Mary Della Penna, School For Service Director, if you need help.

  • The Oakfield-Alabama Central School District participates in the New York State Universal Free Meals program. We want to ensure all families are aware of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and how it can benefit both your household and our schools.

    Why Apply for SNAP?

    • Monthly Benefits: SNAP provides monthly benefits to help households buy healthy food.
    • Automatic Qualification: Enrolling in SNAP may "Directly Certify" your child for free school meals, which ensures they receive nutritious meals at no cost while helping our district maximize state funding for all students.

    How to Apply:

Check your eligibility and apply for benefits online through the New York State portal:
    NYS MyBenefits Portal
