Oakfield-Alabama Varsity Swim Team swam strong back-to-back meets this past week, earning wins against Pembroke-Alexander on 1/12 and Attica on 1/13 placing the Girls team 1st in the league with a 7-1 team record and 5-1 GR league rank as they head into the final meet of the season Friday.

Monday evening, against Pembroke-Alexander held at Attica, the girls secured a 52–42 victory, while the boys continued to build momentum. Vivian Hilchey led the way with individual wins in the 200 and 50 freestyle, while Tori Davis took first in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke to swing momentum. Seniors Brooke Schramm and Tanisha Majors contributed in a major way, with Brooke clinching second in the 100 breaststroke and Tanisha finishing strong on the 400 freestyle relay. The OA girls dominated the relays, winning both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays, which ultimately secured the meet. Contributions across distance, sprint, and IM events showcased the team’s balance and steady growth heading into the final meet of the season.

Tuesday, the following evening against Attica, the women earned 68–23 win, while the men added another solid 8 points. Event winners included Sarah Pritchett (200 free, 100 breast), Vivian Hilchey (200 IM, 50 free), Summer Williams (100 fly), Tori Davis (100 free, 100 back), and Ada Foster (500 free). Levi Miller had an outstanding performance on the men’s side, winning both the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. The meet also highlighted excellent efforts off the pool’s new starting blocks and starting system which was newly upgraded this past season.

The team now heads into their final meet of the regular season tomorrow against Batavia-Notre Dame at home at 5:30 PM, which will also be Senior Recognition Night. Come out and support the swimmers as they close out the season and celebrate our Class of 2026 seniors.
