OAE Swim Meet Results!

Shark Update by Coach Haluszczak 

Oakfield Alabama Girls Swimming claimed 2nd at Genesee Region/Niagara-Orleans Intersectional Championship on Feb. 6 at Gates-Chili High School, Byron Bergen/ Leroy finishing first overall with 274.5 points followed close behind by Oakfield-Alabama/Elba (264points) and Newfane (241points).

                                                                                                                                                             

 

Oakfield-Alabama/Elba earned multiple championship finishes, led by Sophomore Tori Davis, who won the 50 freestyle (25.80SB) and the 500 freestyle (5:51.14PR).

 

Davis was awarded Swimmer of the Meet. Across 12 teams and team depths, this is a huge honor for the OA Sophomore. This is Tori’s 2nd Swimmer of the meet awarded to her this season. Nice work!!

 

New School Record Alert!! & sectional winners: Vivian Hilchey, Sarah Pritchett, Brooke Schramm, and Tori Davis captured first place in the 200 freestyle relay (1:49.08PR) and the 400 freestyle relay (4:07.28PR).

 

Vivian Hilchey went after the 200 freestyle AGAIN after false starts at GRs. Vivian won AGAIN with a (2:11.22PR) and second in the 100 freestyle (58.13PR). What a comeback.

 

Our Youngest OA shark Sarah Pritchett placed fifth in the 200 IM (2:38.35) and 5th in the 500 freestyle (6:19.34)PR. Young but fierce.

 

Captain and Senior Brooke Schramm finished out her Varsity career placing third in the 50 freestyle (27.55) and fifth in the 100 freestyle (1:02.04) bringing home some PRs.

 

Ada Foster placed fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:15.08)PR and 9th in the 200 Freestyle (2:28.97). PR

 

Summer Williams placed 14th in the 50 freestyle with a PR 30.06 and second PR in the 100 butterfly 1:22.70!!!

 

Lea Kaczmarek busting out a move in the sprint events placing 22nd (50 free) and 15th (100 free) with PRs in both events.

 

Lillian Finkney, our Elba swimmer, closed out her senior season with an excellent start to the Medley relay and carrying the team spirit through the entire meet.
